Weeki Wachee Springs sits on top of a hot spring. Weeki Wachee has been holding underwater shows since the late 1940s, where mermaids swim with strapped on tails to routines such as Hans Christian Andersen’s “The Little Mermaid.”
In addition to daily performances, the park also has a white-sand beach, lazy river boat rides, animal shows, and instructional camps for aspiring mermaids.
There are few attraction here which are BUCANNER BAY, THE LEGEND SIRENS PERFORM, MERMAID ENCOUNTER, HIGH TIDE TEA PARTY and more.

All activities at Buc Bay are now open daily through August 17. Afterward, it will be open weekends only through September 28. The swimming area is open daily, 365 days a year.
The Legendary Sirens Perform
This nostalgic show will take you back to the early years of Weeki Wachee Springs by the ladies who created the magic. The former mermaid show includes performers representing the decades from the 40's to the 70's. Don't miss this magical performance by this special group of ladies. Show times are 12 PM & 2 PM.
Mermaid Encounter
Beginning April 26 - September 28, enjoy a 20 minute experience with a real live mermaid. Have your child experience a memory of a lifetime. The encounter will be located in the "Mermaid Lagoon" at Buccaneer Bay. The encounters are available on Saturdays and Sundays with two sessions a day. The age group for the mermaid encounter are for kids ages 3-12. Spaces are limited to six children for each session. Enjoy the Mermaid Encounter for $75. Proceeds benefit the Friends of Weeki Wachee Springs State Park.
High Tide Tea Party
June 28 & July 26
High Tide Tea Party is a tea party for little mermaids. Your child will have tea with the World Famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids, located in the Newton Perry Underwater Theater. Be sure to have your cameras ready, because you never know when the mermaids will appear. This fantasy experience will be an unforgettable event when your little mermaid hears stories of the sea and receives a mystical makeover, her very own mermaid costume and a photo opportunity with her Mer-Sisters.
Little Mermaids will sip on seawater and snack on seaweed roll-ups and mercakes. The price is $175 per child and begins at 4:15 PM. Children must be accompanied by an adult and the price reflects the individual cost per guest. Please note: Parents/guardians do not participate in this event. Seating is limited to 12 little mermaids.
"Tail Mail"
The World Famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids want to hear from you! In an effort to promote education, the mermaids are answering letters from all students under the age of 17. This will encourage literacy, and is a great way for your child to practice their best penmanship. Have your child hand write a letter to their favorite mermaid (or Prince), asking anything about the environment they swim in or anything else mermaid related. A list of our current mermaids can be found by clicking mermaids, then mermaid roster. Each child will receive an autographed picture of their favorite mermaid. The mermaids will read each letter and the videoed response will get posted on our Facebook fan page, Twitter page and YouTube channel, so don't forget to click the icons on our web site and become a fan today to see the latest images and news coming from the park. Feel free to have your child include any drawings they may want to include. Please do not choose more than one mermaid or Prince to write to.
